This delicious appetizer was served to me by a dear friend, who has largely inspired the creation of this site and that has greatly contributed to the birth of my passion for cooking. The appetizer is minimal, simple and elegant.

  • 1 pear
  • 4 - 6 walnuts (1 walnut for every slice of pear)
  • 4 - 6 tsp mascarpone cheese (1 tsp every slice of pear)
  • lemon juice to taste
  • pepper to taste

Easy and chic appetizer with pear, mascarpone cheese and nuts Directions

  1. Wash and peel the pear. Cut the fruit into round slices about half an inch thick. With the help of a small cookie cutter, a sharp knife or a teaspoon, remove the core part and sprinkle the circles of pear with some lemon juice.

  2. Put the fruit discs on a plate. Put a teaspoon of mascarpone cheese and a walnut kernel on top of each slice. Season with freshly ground pepper and serve.
