Puff pastry with hot dogs

  • 4 medium hot dogs
  • puff pastry sheet
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Puff pastry with hot dogs Directions

  1. Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle and divide it with a knife into two smaller rectangles. Place 4 medium hot dogs on one of the sheets leaving some space between them. Briefly stir the egg with one tablespoon of water and brush the pastry around the hot dogs using the mix.

  2. Stretch out the second rectangle using a rolling pin. Lay the longer rectangle above the small one and helping yourself with your fingers lower the dough along the sides of the sausage sealing them in between each other. Close both sides of the rectangles with a fork and brush the puffs with the remaining egg.

  3. Cut the pastry horizontally (crossing all 4 sausages) creating strips about 2 cm wide.

  4. Place the appetizers on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 15 min or until the puffs are golden. Serve either hot or cold.
